Welcome to FrontierLabs

One of the flagship programs of TSIL is FrontierLabs, a hands-on STEM learning experience where students tackle engineering challenges using simple materials and creative thinking.

Students may be asked to:

  1. design a machine that moves a marble across a table

  2. build a bridge using only limited materials

  3. create a device powered by air pressure or gravity

​

Through experimentation and collaboration, students test ideas and improve them through iteration.

​

The goal is not simply to complete a task.
The goal is to develop the habits of innovators.

​

Students leave FrontierLabs with more than a project; they leave with:

  1. confidence in their ideas

  2. excitement about discovery

  3. curiosity about how things work
