Accessibility Statement

This statement was last updated on March 16, 2026.

We at Turning Scholars Into Leaders (TSIL) are working to make our website accessible to people with disabilities.

Our goal is to ensure that all visitors, including students, parents, educators, and community members, can access information about our programs, events, and learning opportunities.

The website is designed to support accessibility and inclusive access for all users.

What web accessibility is

An accessible website allows visitors with disabilities to browse the site with the same or a similar level of ease and enjoyment as other visitors.

This can be achieved through the capabilities of the system on which the site operates, as well as through assistive technologies such as:

  • screen readers

  • keyboard navigation

  • voice recognition software

  • screen magnification tools

Accessible design ensures that all users can perceive, understand, navigate, and interact with digital content.

Accessibility adjustments on this site

We have adapted this site in accordance with WCAG 2.1 guidelines and strive to meet WCAG 2.1 Level AA accessibility standards.

This site’s content has been designed to work with assistive technologies such as screen readers and keyboard navigation.

As part of our accessibility efforts, we have taken the following steps:

  • Used accessibility tools to identify and address potential accessibility issues

  • Set the language of the site to support screen reader interpretation

  • Organized content using clear heading structures

  • Ensured logical reading and navigation order across pages

  • Added alternative text descriptions to images when appropriate

  • Used color combinations that meet recommended contrast standards

  • Reduced unnecessary motion and visual distractions

  • Designed content to support keyboard navigation

  • Ensured documents, videos, and other media are accessible when possible

We continually work to improve the accessibility of our website and digital materials.

Declaration of partial compliance with the standard due to third-party content [only add if relevant]

Certain pages on this site may include content or tools provided by third-party services such as:

  • event registration platforms

  • payment processors

  • embedded media services

Because these elements are controlled by external providers, full accessibility compliance may depend on the accessibility practices of those third parties.

We strive to select vendors that prioritize accessibility and inclusive design.

Accessibility arrangements in the organization [only add if relevant]

Turning Scholars Into Leaders programs are designed to be welcoming and inclusive learning environments.

When hosting in-person programs such as FrontierLabs STEM Labs, we aim to work with venues that provide:

  • accessible entrances and pathways

  • accessible seating and workspace areas

  • accessible restrooms when available

  • supportive learning environments for diverse learners

We also design programs to support diverse learning needs through:

  • hands-on activities

  • collaborative learning structures

  • flexible participation methods

These approaches align with TSIL’s mission of creating inclusive, curiosity-driven learning environments for young people.
